As a woman in ministry, I have struggles like everyone else, wanting to do my best for the Lord Jesus, yet finding opposition from the enemy who tries to sap my strength and take away my passion.\u00a0 Sometimes there isn\u2019t even a soft place to land when places\/people which have been trusted as a safe place are no longer safe.<\/p>\n
I am reminded of David who was a man after God\u2019s own heart, yet at times felt betrayed and homeless.\u00a0 I am also reminded of Jeremiah who is known as the weeping prophet who did God\u2019s work by being the messenger bringing a warning of judgment, yet as the messenger he was rejected and abandoned.<\/p>\n
Everywhere I turn, I see godly people having some of the greatest struggles of their lives.\u00a0 When one is tested and tried and the work and the struggle is difficult both emotionally and physically, where does one turn to to find a soft place to land?\u00a0 Where or what do you turn to?<\/p>\n
What I have been finding is that the most trustworthy \u201csoft\u201d landing spot for me is God\u2019s word.\u00a0 I have been spending hours in the scriptures absorbing the love that God has for me.\u00a0 When I read about God\u2019s Sovereignty and his ability to bring good out of every situation, I have great hope.<\/p>\n
The other night Richard and I watched a program on the universe and I was struck at the vastness of God\u2019s creation and the unfathomable power that he must exert to create and sustain the entire universe filled with billions of galaxies and an untold number of stars.\u00a0 Surely he is able to fix problems that seem unfixable.\u00a0 Surely nothing is too hard for our Almighty Sovereign God.\u00a0 I may not see all the answers that he has for all of my own struggles in my lifetime, but I trust that he has a reason for everything that he allows his children to go through.\u00a0 I also trust that he will indeed work out all things for good to them that love God and who are called according to his purpose.\u00a0 People may fail me but God never will.\u00a0 He is my soft place to land and I want to give him the praise and honor that he deserves for his love and care.\u00a0 The Lord Jesus and his inspired word are my soft place to land.<\/p>\n<\/body>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
